"If our social skills had advanced step by step with our technical skills there would not have been another war" This is the challenging theme of this book. Prof. Mayo, having defined social skill as being "our ability to secure co-operation between people" concludes: "Effective co-operation is the problem we face in the middle period of the twentieth century.
