Against the background of decreasing numbers of members in the church denominations that are in the Reformed Afrikaans Church tradition, this dissertation, Faith-knowledge and Church-shrinking - a revelation-historical investigation of the relationship between the concepts "Lack of knowledge" and (My) peaple are destroyed" as presented by Hos. 4:6, presents a starting point for more comprehensive study to investigate the phenomenon of the shrinking in church numbers. Such a comprehensive study would includa an empirical study, which this study didn't do.
