In Science Magazine (10 March 1967) an article was published with the title: "The Historical Roots of our Ecological crisis". In this article it is mentioned by the author that he blames the modern ecological crisis, in which the ecology is raped by humans, on the Christian interpretation of Gn 1:26-28 constitutes that man has no responsibility whatsoever towards the creation. In antiquity, he thinks, the animistic religions had a better view of the ecology and man's responsibility, by seeing the creation as holy. This should then be the key towards modern interpretation of man's responsibility towards the creation.
