They also include analysis of translation problems that may occur, and they provide suggestions for dealing with such problems. Some translators, however, prefer material in a more condensed form and from which they can easily retrieve information. These guides do not take away from translators the responsibility to make their own decisions, but they do attempt to give them practical information and to alert them to pitfalls they may otherwise overlook.
