This is an exciting story, futuristic and with elements of fantasy. It is suitable for Grade 12 level learners who have had contact with the world of computers. Despite the science fiction element, the story succeeds in being highly credible. The plot is absorbing and completely original. Themes in the novel are highly relevant to South African teenagers: the creation of Utopia, discrimination, community enclaves and the workings of one's conscience. The setting is South African, but futuristic. This is fresh and new, and with great appeal, particularly to learners who can relate to the landmarks of Gauteng.
